Development and implementation of an awareness campaign on child/youth online safety
The Council of Europe Office to Chisinau is seeking for a local service provider on development and implementation of an awareness campaign on child/youth online safety, to increase the awareness and capacity of the Internet users in general and children and youth to monitor the respect of their human rights on Internet while developing the Information Society based Internet human rights in the Republic of Moldova.
Study visit of the leadership and representatives of the Public Prosecution Service of the Republic of Moldova to Lisbon, Portugal
On 9-11 December, 2015 a study visit of the leadership and the representatives of the public prosecution service (PPS) of the Republic of Moldova to Lisbon, Portugal was organised within the CoE project “Support to Criminal Justice Reforms in the Republic of Moldova”, funded by the Government of Denmark.
In view of the reform process of the PPS in Moldova the visit aimed at familiarising the representatives of the Moldovan public prosecution service with the functioning of the PPS in Portugal.
Opinion of the Directorate General Human Right and Rule of Law of the Council of Europe on Law on the People’s Advocate (Ombudsperson) of the Republic of Moldova, Chapter V, The National Preventive Mechanism
On 28 November, 2015 the Council of Europe’s Directorate General Human Right and Rule of Law (Directorate of Human Rights) issued its Opinion on the Law no. 52 of 3 April 2014 on the People’s Advocate (Ombudsperson) of the Republic of Moldova Chapter V, The National Mechanism for the Prevention of Torture (Ref: DGI(2015) 25). The Opinion has been prepared under the auspices of the Project “Support to Criminal Justice Reforms in the Republic of Moldova”, funded by the Government of Denmark.
The Opinion is complementary to the Opinion no.808/2015, CDL-AD2015)017, of the Venice Commission on the Law on the People’s Advocate and contains a detailed analysis of the Chapter V dealing with the National Preventive Mechanism.
The Council of Europe Office to Chisinau is seeking for a local expert on adaptation and harmonization of the Academy of Public Administration’s existing LLM/MA/MSc curricula for civil servants with a number of hours dedicated to Internet human rights and Internet Governance standards and related ECHR case-law.
Tender Notice for Construction Company: Prison Refurbishment
The Pompidou Group of the Council of Europe and the Department of Penitentiary Institutions of the Republic of Moldova is looking for a construction company that could refurbish a designated area within the grounds of the Republic of Moldova’s Pruncul Prison. The goal of the project is to construct an exclusive space in the prison where up to 25 drug dependent prisoners are treated (Therapeutic Community).
