Joint Programme publishes a Guide and Leaflet on State Guaranteed Legal Aid for free distribution among relevant institutions and field specialistsOn 15 April 2010 the Joint Programme between the Council of Europe and the European Commission on Increased independence, transparency and efficiency of the justice system of the Republic of Moldova released the publication of the Guide and leaflet on State Guaranteed Legal Aid with the purpose to support the new system of free legal aid recently established in the Republic of Moldova. The state guaranteed legal aid stands for the delivery of legal services from public money to citizens who do no have enough financial resources and cannot afford to cover such services. It is delivered to all citizens of the Republic of Moldova under the law. The Guide shall be conveyed to relevant institutions and specialists providing legal aid, while the leaflet is due for free distribution for the general public, ensuring explanations about the types of legal aid and the procedure for its request and delivery.
